Back when the first album hit, their label made the band go out to fancy dinners with record store clerks. Kelli Ali disappointed me on a number of counts. She had no idea what "Breakadawn" was or that they'd pretty much jacked the whole thing. She didn't seem to wear deodorant. And she looked absolutely nothing like the high-contrast, snaggle-tooth-hiding video vixen version of herself.
If I remember correctly, didn't you take them/her to Houston's for "fancy" dinner? Not excatly sure the good impressions were piling up on either side of the table. hehehe.

I had to gorge myself on bland couscous just to avoid being over-spiced by the pretentious flavor-infused "food" that the rest of the world seems to enjoy so much.

Was this possibly a place called Cafe Diem?? I went there once and it was a-not-so-good. It was a dinner with some co-workers prior to seeing the band of some co-worker's boyfriend at the Masquerade. The band was a-not-so-good.
